GTA VI Radio Stations: What Rockstar Has Published, and What Is Still Just Fan Theory

Rockstar's own music page names six Leonida stations, their hosts, and the soundtrack singles. It also stays quiet on the parts fans keep filling in: full tracklists, whether hosts react to your driving, and how many stations exist in the full game.

The simplest way to end an argument about GTA VI radio is to open Rockstar's own music page and read what is actually on it. The page is short, it is specific, and it settles more than most radio threads online.

Here is what it says. GTA VI radio has six named stations previewed on rockstargames.com/VI/music: Cocoteo, Back Country, Afro Bank FM, The Chamber, Flash FM, and Dirty South Classics. Each one has a host or host pair name attached, a one-line description, and a preview clip. The page says the game features the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet, and that the spread runs from classic rock to talk radio.

That is the official record. It is not a tracklist, it is not a full station roster, and it is not a promise about how any of those stations will behave once you are driving through Leonida.

What follows is the difference between those two things, station by station and claim by claim, so the next time a screenshot of a fake station list makes the rounds you can check it against a page Rockstar actually controls.

The six stations and their hosts

Cocoteo is the modern Latin station, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. Rockstar describes it as modern Latin, with a line in Spanish that translates roughly to the party that never stops. It is the one preview card on the page that carries its tagline in Spanish first, which fits a station built for Vice City's Latin music culture.

Back Country is the country station, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne. Rockstar's line calls it airboat-ready renegade country, which is a specific enough phrase to be deliberate. It points at the swamp and bayou side of Leonida rather than anything resembling a mainstream Nashville playlist.

Afro Bank FM covers Amapiano, African classics, and a style listed as 3-step, hosted by Burna and Palmsy. That is the widest genre brief of the six, and it is also the clearest signal that Rockstar is not treating Leonida's radio as a strictly American-pop universe.

The Chamber is metal, hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. Rockstar's card reads like an announcement rather than a description: crushing metal has landed in Leonida, jump in the pit.

Flash FM is the pop station, hosted by Robyn and Alex, and the page frames it as a Vice City institution delivering pop and guaranteed grooves. If the name sounds familiar, that is not an accident. Flash FM is a Vice City name carrying over from the 2002 game, and Rockstar is leaning on that history on purpose.

Dirty South Classics is regional rap and hip-hop classics, hosted by Trick and Trina, with a line about a little southern hospitality. The name tells you the lane, and the hosts tell you the region.

Six names, eleven hosts, six descriptions, and six preview clips. Nothing on that list is a rumor. All of it is published by Rockstar, which is the entire reason it belongs in a confirmed column instead of a watch list.

Where the official page stops

The music page does not list tracks for any of the six stations. It does not say how many stations exist in the full game. It does not say whether hosts talk between songs, whether they comment on what you just did in the world, or whether the same station sounds different in a different part of the map.

Those are the questions the community has been chewing on for years, and the page's silence on them is not evidence in either direction. A missing line on a marketing page is not a denial.

The same page does confirm one separate official layer: the soundtrack. GTA VI: The Album is listed as 34 original tracks, with nine singles published by name, including Yung Lean's That's It with Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott's RHYNO, Sexy Magic from CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso with Pink Pantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy, Justice's Flower in a Hurricane with Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Morgan Wallen's Last Thing You Need, Fuerza Regida's Suzuki, Rauw Alejandro's Macacoa 2000, Cardi B's Don't Chart, and Keith Richards' Bright Lights, Big City. The album page states a November 19 release and links pre-save and physical pre-order.

The album is not the radio. Nine singles and a 34-track record say a lot about Rockstar's music taste and almost nothing about what plays on Cocoteo or Dirty South Classics in-game. Treating the album list as a station playlist is the single most common mistake in radio coverage right now, and the official pages keep those two products visibly apart.

The part everyone keeps giving a status it has not earned

The week of October 20 brought a story that Daft Punk were pitched the GTA VI score before Justice took the job, and that they turned it down. The claim traces back to a single leaker account, and the outlets that ran it attributed it exactly that way. No Rockstar statement, no first-party document, no on-record sourcing from either act. A leak account's track record is not a source tier, and "reportedly" in a headline is doing less work than readers assume.

There is a version of this that would be confirmed news: a Rockstar post naming the score composers and their process, or a statement from Daft Punk or Justice. Neither exists. Until one does, the story stays a rumor no matter how many outlets repeated it in the same forty-eight hours. Next Vice wrote it up as exactly that, a claim from one anonymous account, not a confirmed chapter of the game's music history.

The useful thing the story did was clarify the score. Justice is the official original score composer, named by Rockstar, and Flower in a Hurricane debuted in the October 15 launch trailer. That is documented. Everything about who almost did the job is not.

What would actually change the radio picture

A real confirmation would look like one of a few things. Rockstar could publish a full station list with genre descriptions, the way it just did for six of them. It could publish per-station tracklists, or reference specific songs in official footage with a credit. It could show host dialogue in a gameplay demo, which would confirm that the hosts are characters in the world rather than just names on a page. Or a host could post about the recording sessions with Rockstar's blessing.

Fan signals are worth reading, but they do not count. A datamined file, a screenshot of a menu with a station wheel, a Discord screenshot of a tracklist, a YouTube video with a "full radio list" thumbnail. All of those have shown up for other games and been wrong. None of them raise a claim's tier on their own.

There is a historical trap worth naming too. Earlier games in the series had stations that expanded with downloadable content and stations that were quietly cut before launch. Rockstar has not said anything about GTA VI's radio changing after release, and nothing on the music page hints at a live service plan for it. Assuming there will be more stations later is a reasonable guess, not a fact, and it should be labeled as a guess.

How to use this before launch

If you are picking a platform, a preorder, or a car to drive in the first hour, the radio list does not change that decision. What it does tell you is the tonal range Rockstar is aiming for: Latin, country, Amapiano and African classics, metal, pop with Vice City heritage, and southern rap. That reads like a game that wants the radio dial to feel like a place, not a sampler.

If you are arguing online, the six stations are the strongest position you can hold, because Rockstar said them out loud. Everything past that line needs a source, and the source needs to be Rockstar, Take-Two, or one of the artists and hosts actually involved.

If you are tracking this for the launch week, the thing to watch is the in-game station wheel. When GTA VI unlocks on November 19, that wheel will answer in one screen what months of threads could not. Until then, the page is the record, and the page has six stations on it.

The short version, if you only keep one paragraph: Rockstar published six Leonida stations, eleven hosts, six genre lanes, and a separate 34-track album with nine named singles. It did not publish tracklists, station behaviour, or the total station count, and no leaker account can fill those gaps for you no matter how confident the post reads.
