GTA VI: The Album Boxed Editions: What Ships November 20, and What the Vinyl Exclusives Do Not Include

Rockstar's album store lists standard vinyl at $49.98, the CD at $19.98 and the liquid-filled limited vinyl at $124.98, and all three ship November 20, a day after the digital record and the game. Six vinyl variants are store exclusives, and none of them promise bonus content.

GTA VI: The Album is the first piece of this launch that comes in a box you can hold, and it is the part most people are getting wrong. The record is not the game. The shipping dates are not the release date. And the version with the poster in it is not the version that comes with the soundtrack you already pre-saved.

Here is what Rockstar actually put on sale, checked against the listings themselves rather than the announcement post.

Rockstar's own music page confirms the shape of it: a 34-track official album, six singles already streaming, and the digital record landing November 19, the same day the game unlocks. The page sells two things, a digital pre-save and a physical pre-order, and points physical buyers at the official album store rather than a single retailer. That store is where the detail lives.

The store lists three core products with prices attached. Standard vinyl is $49.98. The CD is $19.98. The limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl runs $124.98. All three carry the same shipping line, and that line is the one worth reading twice.

Every one of the three reads "Ships: 20 November 2026." Not November 19. The album's digital release arrives November 19, the same day GTA VI launches, and the physical editions go out the following day. It is a one-day gap, and it matters if you were planning to hold the record while you played. If the timing is the point for you, order digital. The box is for the shelf.

The second thing the listings show is that "the album" is not one object. The official link hub lists six separate vinyl variants, and five of them are store exclusives: a Best Buy exclusive on clear pink with purple splatter that includes a 12x24 poster, a Barnes & Noble exclusive, a Walmart exclusive on glitter pink and blue, an Amazon exclusive, and an independent record store exclusive. Blood Records carries its own hand-numbered open edition at £39.99, capped at two per customer. Barnes & Noble prices its CD at $19.99 and its vinyl at $49.99. Amazon lists its exclusive at $49.98.

Those exclusives are packaging, not content. Rockstar has not said any variant carries a bonus track, a different mix or anything in-game. Until an official listing says otherwise, the collector variants are the same record in different colourways, and the only one with a stated extra is the Best Buy version with the poster.

One date on the Blood Records listing does not match the rest. Blood Records shows a release date of November 19, 2026 on its product page, while the official store, Barnes & Noble and Amazon all show November 20. That is a retailer publishing its own date, and it may resolve either way. The official album store is the one to trust, because it is the store Rockstar links to.

Rockstar's own product page is also careful about the order of operations. The pre-save links for the singles route through Spotify, Apple Music and the rest, and the physical purchase path routes to the album store. Two doors, two products, one album.

What none of this tells you is how the album sits inside the game. Rockstar's announcement covers the record, the six singles and the vinyl, and says nothing about which radio stations carry which tracks, whether every album track ships in GTA VI at launch, or whether the in-game stations will be a separate list entirely. A soundtrack album is not a station list, and the listings do not pretend otherwise. Anyone claiming to know the Leonida radio tracklist from an album page is inventing the connection.

The other thing to skip is resale. Numbered and limited vinyl variants were built for collectors, and they will show up marked up within a day of selling out. Nothing here is exclusive content, so a marked-up variant buys you a colour and a poster, not anything you can play that someone else cannot.

So the checklist is short. Pick the format you actually want, digital if the date matters and physical if the object does. Check the variant before you buy, because the poster and the colourways are the difference between the listings. Read the shipping line, not the album title, before assuming it arrives on launch day. And treat the in-game music connections as unknown until Rockstar says something, since right now the official record stops at the record.
