Take-Two's Proxy Keeps GTA VI on November 19

A July 17 SEC filing repeats GTA VI's planned November 19 date and points to more than $1 billion in expected operating cash flow. That is business language, not a new sales record.

July 18, 2026

Take-Two filed its 2026 proxy statement with the SEC on July 17, and GTA VI gets two clean business-side mentions.

The filing repeats that Grand Theft Auto VI is planned for November 19, 2026. That does not beat Rockstar's Newswire post as the source of truth for the release date, but it does matter as a fresh public filing from Rockstar's parent company. When the date shows up in investor material after the preorder push, it is one more official place where Take-Two is still using the same calendar.

The other line is money, but not in the way a lot of headlines will make it sound. Take-Two tells shareholders it expects more than $1 billion in operating cash flow this fiscal year. That is company-level cash flow language. It is not a confirmed GTA VI sales total, not a preorder number, and not a promise that the game made $1 billion in an hour.

That distinction is worth keeping. Newzoo's forecast already gave the preorder conversation a named estimate, with roughly $260 million in global first-week digital preorder spend and a possible $3.25 billion to $5.2 billion launch-week revenue range. Take-Two's proxy statement is narrower. It says the company sees fiscal 2027 as a major year led by the planned GTA VI launch, while also pointing to the broader business it expects around that year.

The confirmed record did not change today. Rockstar has not announced Trailer 3, PC timing, new platforms, gameplay systems, or a different launch date. The date is still November 19, 2026, and the latest official investor wording keeps it there.

For GTA VI watchers, that is the useful read: the hype numbers are still forecasts unless Rockstar or Take-Two publishes sales data, but the official paper trail around the November date remains steady.
